The EllaLink GeoLab initiative aims to provide the scientific community with real-time, accurate and relevant data on seabed conditions along the EllaLink cable route.
This innovative EU-funded project aims to utilise existing submarine cables, already used by the research and education networking community, to monitor the Earth and its systems.
For the development and success of this projects, EllaLink counts with the financial support from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) – a key EU funding instrument to promote growth, jobs and competitiveness through targeted infrastructure investment at the European level.
It supports the development of high-performing, sustainable and efficiently interconnected trans-European networks in areas such as transport, energy and digital services. CEF investments fill the missing links in Europe’s energy, transport and digital backbone.
